MammaCare is the recognized standard for performing and teaching breast examination.  MammaCare certification assures that the professional has met MammaCare's rigorous standards for proficient, skill-based breast examination. MammaCare training enables both trainer and trainee to observe, quantify, and monitor important aspects of examination performance.

MammaCare offers three certification courses to
health professionals engaged in clinical practice or teaching.

The Certified MammaCare Specialist training program is the core of professional training in MammaCare. The program is offered to women's health care professionals at a growing number of training centers in the United States. The course teaches proficient breast examination skills.  Graduates are certified to perform MammaCare clinical breast examination (CBE), to teach MammaCare CBE to other professionals, and to train women to conduct MammaCare Breast Self-examination (BSE).  ― Continuing education contact hours are available

MammaCare's Certified Clinical Breast Examiner training course teaches clinicians how to conduct proficient MammaCare CBE. Graduates are practitioners who perform CBEs at breast centers, clinics, and certified mammography facilities. ― Continuing education contact hours are available

MammaCare's newest training course, Certified MammaCare BSE Instructor, is offered to women's health care professionals in the United States and Germany. Graduates are certified to teach women to conduct MammaCare BSE. ― Continuing education contact hours are available

The thoroughness and quality of the clinical breast examination is measured on surrogate patients using the MammaCare Proficiency Evaluation Lamp.  Competence also is measured in terms of examination sensitivity and specificity using tactually accurate MammaCare breast models.
